In the late days of May, Austin, Texas, became the hub for blockchain enthusiasts and professionals as it hosted Consensus 2024. This renowned conference attracts thousands from around the world, serving as a bridge between Web3 and blockchain technology and connecting the masses with some of the most innovative players in the industry. Although JSBIT is primarily a mining-based company, we understand the importance of attending diverse events to explore new ideas and products that could revolutionize our field.
Consensus 2024 provided an excellent opportunity for us to reconnect with two of our significant partners, Bitmain and Elphapex. Our partnerships are crucial in building trust and understanding our partners' missions and needs, which helps us represent them better.
Connecting with Bitmain
It was a pleasure to see Bitmain again, a partner we've collaborated with for years. Bitmain was preparing for their upcoming L9 event party, coinciding with Consensus 2024. Their booth was prominently located at the center of the event, showcasing the brand-new S21 Pro. Bitmain’s robust product line and the consistent performance of their team made a lasting impression on attendees. The event highlighted Bitmain's upcoming projects, reinforcing their position as a leader in the crypto mining industry.
Engaging with Elphapex
Elphapex, a newer partner of JSBIT, offered a different engagement experience with a meeting room on the 4th floor. This private setting allowed for one-on-one interactions with their VP of Products, Ben Wang, and their BD representative, Payne. Meeting the Elphapex team in person was enlightening. Elphapex is a formidable new player focused on transforming the LTC+DOGE ecosystem with innovative and reliable ASICs. The highlight was witnessing the fully operational DG1+ on site, providing a tangible experience of ASIC mining to Consensus attendees, many of whom might not have seen such technology in action before. The team's willingness to educate and share their vision for advancing the industry was truly inspiring. While i was speaking to the team charlie lee the creator of litecoin appeared and was interested in learning more which was a treat.
Observing Industry Trends and Political Interest
Apart from engaging with our partners, we also paid close attention to the broader discussions at the conference. A significant trend that emerged was the increasing involvement of political figures in blockchain technology. The excitement was palpable when Robert Kennedy took the stage to discuss the future of blockchain tech and its integration into his political platform. The audience was captivated by his vision, signaling a growing acceptance and interest in blockchain at the political level.
In a surprising turn of events, Senator Ted Cruz made headlines by purchasing his first ASIC at Consensus 2024. This milestone underscores the mainstreaming of blockchain technology and its potential influence on future policy and regulation.
